  TECHNICAL INFORMATION   

FORMODAL60 is a new aluminium material, which is designed for mould, pattern and tool manufacture. 
The specification of this alloy is :
- excellent stability over the whole thickness of the plate (so also in the centre area)
- a very good cutting quality (with high cutting speeds)

Suggestions for processing :
The best relation of the rates of feed for drilling and turning are between
0.1 and 0.5 mm/n. For milling the value per cutter is between 0.05 and 0.1 mm

Cutting tools are recommended, which are used for short chip breaking materials
(e.g. stainless or structural steel processing)
